So, many of you by now have heard various versions of what happened last night at the NEXUS event.
Many of you are friends with Lynnsane. She's been a dear friend to many people. She's quick with a hug, and is the sort of friend to tell you to your face why she loves you so much, and what you mean to her.
Here is what happened, followed by how you can help.
(please note that this was not a Hipgenesis event. several people have been contacting Hipgenesis promoters asking for information. They had nothing to do with this event, and although they would love to help out and answer questions, they are not in the information loop. Instead, Please let people know to contact me directly with questions at djwolfie@djwolfie.com.)
From what we can piece together, Lynsanne (Lynn Drilling) apparently was either dancing, or hula hooping on the roof at the NEXUS party. she tripped and fell into an interior courtyard of the building, landed on a skylight, broke through the skylight, and landed on the second floor dance area.
One of our burner friends nicknamed Witch-doctor - a well known organ transplant surgeon- happened to be at the event, and was able to respond to the medical emergency within seconds. An ambulance was called, many people helped clear a path through the party, and everyone was very well behaved during the process.
Her niece Jen Drilling rode with her in the ambulance to the hospital.
Blue, Saynt, Myself and several others went to be with her in the hospital last night.
Lynn suffered a fractured skull, had some small bleeding in her head, had some relatively minor cuts considering her fall. She was talking, and had full use of all her limbs. they kept her for observation, and to watch the bleeding.
That was all we knew, up until about 20 minutes ago.
I just spoke to Jen Drilling and here is the latest update as of 9 p.m. tuesday night:
The bleeding has stopped in Lynn's skull. the doctors are stitching up the cut on the back of her head, and they feel that surgery is not needed. She's in a lot of pain, since she was under observation and not given drugs. She's talking, and seems to be doing well. They are just now starting her on morphine to control the pain.
the good news is, Lynnsane may be released from the hospital as soon as tomorrow.
Here is where you come in. Many of you have asked how you can help.
I need help in taking care of Lynn. Whenever she gets discharged, we want to make sure someone is with her. Mainly, to keep her company, watch to make sure she is okay, and to have someone to call the hospital if she has any complications. She may need a ride to hospital appointments, or need someone to go pick up prescriptions.
She lives down in Long Beach. (mapquest: east broadway and alamitos, long beach, ca 90802 to see near where she lives)
HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Right off the bat, it would probably be best to email her instead of calling her. you can send her a get well email. Include your phone number, so when she's in the mood to be on the phone, she'll call you. her email address, in case you don't already have it is:
lynnsane@hotmail.com
NEXT, TELL US WHEN YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO COME HANG OUT WITH HER.
1- Go to the link below, labeled "LYNNS ONLINE CALENDAR"
2- enter the days you are available for hanging out with Lynn.
3- I will call people, and design a schedule from all the available people. I will call you, and let you know what time if any we actually need you for on that day.
3-you then go hang out with Lynn on your designated confirmed time.
If you need to cancel, thats fine. Hopefully there will be enough overlap that I'll always have several people on any given day to call to help her.
TO USE THE CALENDAR-
Click on this link. Pick a specific day on the calendar that you are free. Click the Little plus sign in the top right corner, just opposite from the number.
A pop up appears, enter your name, time available and your phone number into that day's slot.
Then, repeat the process for each day that you are available to help.
Enter all the days you are free. We'll split the work up amongst everyone, so you're not committing to helping every day. You're just telling us WHEN you MIGHT be available, and We'll pick a day here and there from all your available days to actually come help.

(thank you Brian Shaw for creating this and customizing it in 20 minutes. you rock)
This will let me look at a day, see all the names and numbers of people available, and I can go down the list calling people to make a schedule.
Much thanks to all the people who helped during this medical emergency. Thanks for all the guests who simply got out of the way, kept quiet, and made it so easy for the medical workers to do their job in a crowded environment.
Please feel free to repost and forward this message so that whoever wants to contribute time to helping Lynn can do so.
If you run into trouble using the calendar, please just email me directly your phone number, days free, and I'll enter it for you.
